MORLINGTON MURDERS

The Morlington Murders began life in 1996, when writer and actor Nigel Fairs created the first script—a delightfully twisty murder mystery set in the fictional English village of Morlington Hill. Inspired by classic Agatha Christie whodunnits but with a cheeky twist of Carry On humour, the mysteries quickly gained a cult following for their witty dialogue, eccentric characters, and irresistible blend of suspense and silliness.

In 2020, Nigel passed the magnifying glass to long-time performer Radley Mason, who now runs things.

Each month, a brand-new Morlington script is performed across East Sussex, Kent, and Canterbury, delighting audiences with outrageous suspects, puzzling plots, and a generous helping of laughs.

The world of Morlington even made the leap to audio with Shilling & Sixpence Investigate, a full-cast audio drama inspired by the live shows. Written by Nigel Fairs, the series stars a mix of Morlington regulars alongside acting legends David Warner and Celia Imrie, bringing the quirky charm and sharp wit of Morlington Hill to listeners around the world.

From stage to soundwaves, The Morlington Murders continue to prove that murder has never been so much fun.
